Doug Leidig

Doug Leidig - President, The Asbury Group

With more than 25 years of strategic and operational experience in the field of senior living, Doug has devised innovative and practical solutions for the challenges that face this profession. In addition to serving as the President of The Asbury Group, Doug is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Asbury Communities, Inc., a not-for-profit system of continuing care retirement communities and senior home care services.

During Doug’s career, he has overseen the operations of senior living communities of varying sizes in several states - including the nation's 12th largest CCRC - facilitated the design and construction of a campus medical center and implemented numerous advancements in care and wellness for residents within those communities. He is Chair of LeadingAge Maryland and serves on the advisory board for Senior Living 100 and the Kairos Health Systems Board of Directors. Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in Long Term Care Administration from York College in Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland.

David Baker

David Baker - President, The Asbury Group Integrated Technologies

David Baker has more than 25 years' experience in the acute and long-term health-care industry in information technology, facility management and project planning, development and construction. David leads the The Asbury Group IT and is Chief Technology Officer for Asbury Communities, Inc. where he is responsible for the strategic, tactical and operational planning and execution of technology hardware and software initiatives and programs.  

Prior to his current position, David was the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer with Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries. While there, he managed all corporate information technology, facility management, business development and construction including strategic and tactical direction, research and development, and operations while reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

David serves as a commissioner for the Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST), the technology arm of LeadingAge, and routinely presents at conferences and provider organizations. He holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Albright College and a master’s of science in information systems from the University of Phoenix. He is a Stanford Certified Project Manager (SCPM) from Stanford University and holds an associate’s degree in electrical engineering.

Chip Burns

Chip Burns - Chief Technology Strategist, The Asbury Group Integrated Technologies

With more than 30 years in information systems, Chip Burns has helped make The Asbury Group IT and Asbury Communities, Inc., industry leaders in information technology. In 2011, Chip’s team finished implementing electronic health records for Asbury’s five continuing care retirement communities and designed a series of clinical dashboards to gather and assess data from those records. 

Prior to joining the Asbury team, Chip was the executive vice president and co-founder of NetLink Technologies, a software development firm in Gaithersburg, Md., where he managed a staff of programmers and technicians responsible for administration, strategic planning and project management. In each of his last four years at NetLink, Chip’s team doubled revenue and increased corporate profit margins. Recognized for his expertise, Chip has served on U.S. Rep. Constance Morella’s Year 2000 Symposium and the Microsoft Mid-Atlantic Area (MAA) Executive Advisory Board. He has also been a guest speaker at several industry conferences, including LeadingAge and the Pennsylvania Association of Not-for-Profit Homes for the Aging. Chip is also a commissioner with the Center for Aging Services Technologies, a program of LeadingAge. He holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from the University of Maryland University College.
